There is magic in December in Maastricht during the festival Magical Maastricht. The city is beautifully lit and<\/span> the Vrijthof<\/span> has been transformed into a beautiful Christmas scene with skating rink, Christmas market and<\/span> visits from Santa.<\/span> Moreover, there are many delicious christmas chalets with treats and snacks.

Vrijthof Maastricht <\/strong><\/h2>\n

From Jewellery to scarves, from clothes to an authentic “poffertjes” chalet – you will find it at the Christmas market at the Vrijthof. Whether it\u2019s a visit to Santa\u2019s grotto, skating on the ice rink, shopping for charming goodies, or having a tasty bite to eat, there’s plenty to do for everyone. The Ice skating<\/span> rink (no less than 900 square<\/span> meters)\u00a0<\/span> is open daily from 10:00 to 23:00<\/span> hours. Cultural and creative activities<\/span> will take place in the\u00a0<\/span>The Spiegeltent marquee “Le Bon Vivant”

Covered in thousands of romantic lights, the 45-metre Ferris wheel is a beacon in the skyline of Maastricht and offers a romantic ride with some unbeatable views. It\u2019s sure to be a magical experience!<\/p>\n

Santa’s Grotto<\/strong>
\nSanta will be arriving in Maastricht on 7 December and making himself at home in his grotto on Vrijthof square. Come and see how Santa and his elves live, work, and sleep, and take your ultimate Christmas-card photo.<\/p>\n

Magical Light Route

Follow the light route in Maastricht and enjoy the chandeliers at Square 1992 Market, and special light path through the St. Servaas Bridge.<\/span> You do not need route – follow the romantic and atmospheric lights and be amazed<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
